Rainy Day Summer Camp at Cascade Parent Partnership
The Art of Food!
Rainy Day Summer Camp offers week-long 3-hour cooking camp with a focus on baking. Each week we will make different things like pretzels, popsicles, muffins, bread, real butter, jam and much more! We will discuss the importance of: local ingredients, scratch cooking and natural preservatives. While our food is cooking we will step out of the kitchen and play with our food. From vegetable stamps to gardening with food scraps campers will leave with a new appreciation of food! Like Dinner Club, on the last day of class students will take home a dinner that serves 4-6 with baking instructions, providing their family with dinner!
Classes are available to students ages 4 and up.
When: July 11th - 15th
Topics: Pretzels, Popsicles, muffins, scones, jam & Fri dinner!
