Teepa Snow Live in Vancouver
Koelsch Senior Communities presents Teepa Snow Live in Vancouver on Thursday, April 28th, 2016 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please note: NEW LOCATION. Due to demand, we have moved the event from Clark College to First Presbyterian.
All participants receive a boxed lunch and a packet of local resources with admission.
The Hampton and Ashley Inn and The Hampton at Salmon Creek Memory Care Communities by Koelsch have partnered with two local non-profit organizations to make this all-day conference possible:
The Southwest Washington Elder Abuse Prevention Coalition (SWEAP) works tirelessly to stop elder abuse before it starts through mini-grants for practical support to elders, educational workshops, and advocacy.
HOPE trains and supports volunteers to facilitate high quality, weekly support groups for family caregivers throughout Southwest Washington. HOPE also creates care baskets and helps families achieve dreams - even when facing memory loss.
Teepa Snow will provide family caregivers with one of the most informative and engaging educational experiences they may have ever experienced. In six hours, Teepa will uncover do-able approaches to managing challenging behaviors and will discuss the taboo subject of sexuality and dementia.
At this same event, Koelsch Senior Communities hosts the Life Beyond Memory Loss information fair with opportunities for ladies and gentlemen to continue living life, growing, and enjoying friends even when coping with memory loss. Think: art, music, theatre, specialty travel, date nights and support groups.
