The Field Seattle Spring Mixed Discipline Session
The Field Seattle is offering an 8-week Mixed Discipline Session where artists from all disciplines, backgrounds can share work and receive meaningful, nonjudgemental feedback from peer artists.
A Field session is not a class. It is a group of artists, facilitated by peer-participants. We do not aim to function as editors, directors, or teachers, but to give one another generous feedback about what we have seen or heard in their work and how it affects us. The Fields reflective feedback method reveals how a creative work is perceived by others and provides detailed information that helps artists hone their vision. By focusing on whats happening in the work and how those choices shape the work, Fieldwork respects the autonomy and vision of each artist.
Date and Time: Sundays, April 3 to May 22, 2016, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: The Pocket Theater
Cost: $80 for New Participants/$70 for Field Members (Past Participants)
Facilitators: Rebecca Goldberg and Beth Peterson
The Field is home to dancers, writers, sculptors, photographers, actors, playwrights, painters, filmmakers, and many other artist who define their work as multidisciplinary or post-disciplinary. Its great for trying out ideas to develop into larger works or to test more developed work in front of a thoughtful audience. Some artists use The Field to experiment with new disciplines, polish new work before a public showing, or read the thing that they scribbled on a napkin to see if they wish to keep scribbling.
