MAIN EVENT: Joel Salatin Keynote @ Tara Firma Farms
Icon of restorative farming, Joel Salatin returns to Tara Firma Farms to share his wisdom, humor, and latest learnings and best practices on how to use natural processes to improve soil health, which in turn leads to healthier livestock and produce for us to eat.
This year, Joel will be joined by several soil management celebrities who are based right here in Sonoma County: Paul & Elizabeth Kaiser of Singing Frogs Farm, and Toby Hemenway, author of Gaia's Garden, the best-selling permaculture book of all-time. We are very blessed to have such experts in our local community!
The main event for the day will be Joel's keynote presentation, which will begin at noon. After Joel, the Kaiser's will present on the success they've had in making their 'no-till' farm one of the most profitable farms per acre in the country -- while simultaneously making it one of the richest in soil health. Toby will follow, explaining how to use natural processes to our best advantage to grow in both wet years and dry. We'll bring the event to a close with all 3 back on stage for a meaty "ask me anything" Q&A session with the audience.
Tickets for the main event are $40 per person. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on site.
(Main Event tickets do not grant the purchaser access to the Farmer's Breakfast, Walking Tour, or Farm-to-Table Dinner with Joel on 4/23. Tickets for those must be purchased separately.)
