SARATOGA ACOUSTIC BLUES SOCIETY brings us another night of great acoustic blues! This months' featured artist is Jimy Graham. Jimy goes on at 7:30 followed by an acoustic blues open mic and jam. Come just to listen or sign up to play.
Jamaican born Jimy Graham grew up in NYC where he absorbed the sounds of Motown and the Carribean. As a phenomenal teenage guitarist he joined Wilson Pickett's band, occupying the role filled earlier by Jimi Hendrix. He has lived and played across the globe, and a couple years ago returned to NY bringing his prodigious guitar talents to the acoustic blues.
Acoustic Blues Open Mic is held on the 4th Wednesday of the month and is hosted by Sonny Speed. Sign up is 7 pm. Names are pulled out of a lottery at 7:30. A monthly featured act opens up and the open mic follows 8 PM.
