Eric Does Eric
Eric Ranelletti is bringing the songs of Eric Lane Barnes, celebrated Seattle songwriter, to San Francisco for one night only in a solo cabaret benefit performance for the Billy Foundation.
With songs like, "Gay vs Straight Composers," "Drama Queen," and "For the Straight Guys," the evening promises a mix of irreverent comedy, clever observation, and touching insights into the modern gay experience.
Award-winning gay composer and songwriter Eric Lane Barnes writes music that is quirky, moving and (most of all) split-gut funny. His original songs have been performed by gay choruses around the world, and his musicals have been produced by theatre groups across the country, including San Francisco's New Conservatory Theatre Center. Visit www.ericlanebarnes.com for more details.
Performer Eric Ranelletti became acquainted with Eric Lane Barnes' music as a member of "Captain Smartypants," a popular Seattle gay men's vocal group. Eric R, a Bay Area native who has appeared locally in productions of "Beach Blanket Babylon," "Pageant," and "Christmas with the Crawfords" among others, is excited to be able to share some of the "other" Eric's best songs with San Francisco audiences.
