Abney Park & Karina Cooper Throw SPARKs!
The quintessential Steampunk band, Abney Park, is playing in Bellingham, WA! The SPARK Museum of Electrical Inventions is thrilled to host both Abney Park and local Bellingham author Karina Cooper to celebrate music and and the release of two steampunk-flavored books: THE WRATH OF FATE, by Captain Robert Brown, and TARNISHED, the first in the St. Croix Chronicles, by Karina Cooper and released by Avon, an imprint of HarperCollins.
With an opening performance of local talent and an exciting display of lights and tesla coils by the SPARK Museum, this will not be an evening to miss!
Adrian H and the Wounds will be rocking our faces off to get things started with their dark cabaret flavor and family-friendly line-up. Just getting off a tour with David J (Bauhaus/Love&Rockets), Adrian H and the Wounds are eager to warm up the party with their soulful, shivery eclectic sound.
Dancing with Abney Park, we're utterly thrilled to announce Tempest will be gracing us! A unique and newly local artist, Tempest's belly dance flair will leave you enchanted and enthralled.
This is an all-ages event, open to the very very young all the way to the very very not so young. (Note: it is a live band; parents be warned.) For you parched types, there'll be a bar set aside for 21+. Limited tickets are available at the door.
Tickets are capped, so act quickly! Performance begins at 8pm, doors open at 7pm. Children 10 and under get in free.
Book signing by Captain Robert and Karina Cooper after the show, band and museum merchandise available, and vendors will be there all night.
IMPORTANT: If you bring your own copy of THE WRATH OF FATE or TARNISHED to be signed, you must, must, must get it stamped at the door when you come in. There will be no stamps to be had once the books go on sale inside.
