Hot Sauce Making Workshop
Learn the tricks of the hot sauce trade from Brooklyn Grange's head farmer Ben Flanner!
Every year we churn out thousands of bottles of Brooklyn Grange hot sauce made from our farm fresh peppers. Now that we've got it down to a science, we're ready to simmer the knowledge down and share it with you!
In this workshop we'll start with a quick visit up to our fall farm to see where peppers grew this year, then head down to COFFEED to move into production mode. You'll learn what goes into each batch, how to determine heat levels, and how to make a shelf-stable sauce with minimal processing required. We'll also talk about the differences between green and red sauces, and how to consider the flavor profiles of your peppers when putting together your sauce.
For you heat enthusiasts and home gardeners out there, this a great way to get started making your own signature sauce! We're especially excited to welcome the Foodstand community to this workshop, come on out and see local production at its best!
Tickets are non-refundable.
