THE ARTISTS

:: Alex Lattimore ::
Grammy Award Nominee Best Jazz Vocal Album

A native of a city known for its great arts scene, Chicago, Illinois, Alex Lattimore is no stranger to the world of music. Serving as the male vocalist in the former Giant Step Records performing group Jiva, led by Khari Simmons (former bass player for India.Arie), Alex has been notably compared to the vocal styling of such artists as Luther Vandross and Will Downing.

With his dynamic abilities, Alex was catapulted into opportunities to open for and perform with internationally renowned artists like Tina Turner, Luther Vandross, Michael McDonald, India.Arie, Earl Klugh, The Rippingtons, Groove Collective, Roy Ayers, Kindred The Family Soul, Loose Ends, and Maysa Leak. Alex's trumpet and vocals have also graced the Julie Dexter and Khari Simmons Brash Music album release of "Moon Bossa", the Atlanta based group "Jiva" with albums "Sun and Moon' and "Day Into Night" as well as being a featured vocalist on the beautifully written duet entitled "The Matrimony" from Rhonda Thomas' album "Breathe New Life" and title track "Once Twice" from the Bugs in The Attic album release "Back in the Dog House." Alex has also collaborated with D.J. Kemit (formerly of the Grammy award winning group Arrested Development), releasing a single entitled "Rush Hour" (featuring Takana Miyamoto) which found its place on the P-Vine Records compilation "Sol Com Bossa".

:: Valencia Robinson ::
"an ethereal voice that transcends space and time." -The Soul Of Amsterdam

"Powerful...dynamic...soulful." These are a few of the adjectives used to describe the incredible voice of Valencia Robinson. The richness and purity of Valencia's vocals are evident after she sings just one note. Her voice has a way of warming the very souls of all listeners. Combining a soulful spirit with poignant lyrics, Valencia disarms audiences and opens their minds to the possibilities of love and life in a style described by many as "Raw Soul."

Growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, Valencia first began honing her skills in church settings, while listening to such greats as Mahalia Jackson and James Cleveland. Saving up enough money for a ticket to Europe, she traveled to France, where she spent the next six months performing in various clubs and theaters as a blues singer. This enriching experience gave Valencia the confidence needed to record her debut CD, a five-song masterpiece that's considered a classic by music industry professionals and fans across the globe.  Valencia's talents have allowed her to work with such noted artists as Cleveland, Jack Ashford of The Funk Bros. (Motown), Carla Thomas, and Edwin Hawkins to name just a few. Not one to be boxed in, Valencia has mastered music styles ranging from jazz, soul, folk, opera, and blues.
