1st Annual Run Your Tail Off 5K/10K Run Walk
The Glenn County Resource Conservation District (RCD), RCD Connects with Kids, program provides educational opportunities designed to foster awareness and conservation of our local natural resources. Glenn County RCD's mission is "To promote a sustainable, economically healthy county through services and the management of natural resources while maintaining a desirable environment and addressing local resource issues in a timely manner".
What better way to implement this mission than through involving our youth?
The Glenn County RCD continues to engage farmers, ranchers and the community in protecting our resources. Being able to provide this educational program that fosters awareness of our rich agricultural heritage and bountiful natural resources is a priority for the RCD. However, RCD can't do this alone. Your support is needed, and appreciated, to continue these programs!
The Run Your Tail Off 5K/10K Run Walk Event provides an opportunity for people to enjoy a healthy, fun community event in a beautiful watershed, help youth groups earn money for their clubs, and benefit our natural resources through youth stewardship and mentoring opportunities in school and after school activities.
