**** Everyone Buying Tickets to this TRUE STORY show will receive 2 FREE tickets to see Mike Vecchione from Last Comic Standing! ****
"Ok... True story..." You've heard it at every comedy show you've ever been to. It's become a standard opening line. Well, now Jay's calling every comedian's bluff.
True story? Is it really? Jay Hollingsworth's True Story is a live show featuring comedians telling their jokes on stage followed by Jay and the comedian dissecting the comedy bit's true origins. We want to find out what the REAL story is behind the material.
Guilty by Association, Jay's guests this month are:
Jim Stewart Allen: Not every young comic can make an audiences squirm with laughter the way Jim Allen does. Recounting and rethinking tales of high school past, Jim weaves together fresh jokes about asking girls out, summer job applications & modern convenience. If you have a heart, you will enjoy him. He will most certainly enjoy performing for you.
JR Berard: JR was a finalist in last years "Make Jack Laugh" comedy competition and produces his own monthly show "Who Shot JR".
Amos Mack: Originally from South Philly now residing in Olympia Washington. Even when he came into the world Amos Mack was destined to be a comic. The doctor exclaimed "He looks funny!" And that was the beginning. Looking at the world and making observations that make most people say ,"Wow I was thinking that same thing ." This Model/Actor loves to bring laughter to everyone he meets.
Justin Hayes: Justin Hayes is a product of the Northwest, but his comedy is worldly. With his uncanny ability to connect with a wide audience and an innate sense of humor, he is able to reach any socio-economical group. Justin took 3rd in the Portland Comedy Competition in November 2004 and 1st in the USA World Showcase at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada in February 2005. He has opened for Brad Garrett from "Everybody Loves Raymond" at the Icehouse in Pasadena and Dane Cook at Dublin's on Sunset Boulevard. Justin was finally able to fulfill a lifelong dream by performing at the New York City Improv and performed at The Ha in Times Square.
