Human Kind
An Evening of Dance and Discussion
In Fall 2011 we launched a completely new performance experiment called Human Kind, where we incorporated your personal experiences, stories, and ideas about the frailty and resilience of the human spirit into our work. On March 22-24, we continue this exploration with a special sneak peek of the company's newest work-in-progress, When We Fall Apart, a collaboration with renowned architect Cass Calder Smith and original music composed and performed by Ben Juodvalkis of the San Francisco band Battlehooch.
This special window into the work builds on the notion of incorporating real-life experiences from our community into our performances. For this iteration of Human Kind, we'll include personal stories contributed by friends and family members of our dancers, shared with you especially for this evening of dance and discussion. Please join Joe Goode, Cass Calder Smith, Ben Juodvalkis, and JGPG company members Melecio Estrella, Damara Vita Ganley, Jessica Swanson, Andrew Ward, and Alexander Zendzian as we preview our latest work, answer your questions, and discuss the challenges and rewards inherent in the collaborative process.
Special VIP Night - March 24! For a special ticket price on Saturday night, we're inviting you to hang out with the artists after the event at our fabulous wine tasting, featuring several local wineries and a special raffle to give away an exclusive wine collection curated by our Board of Directors. We invite you to sip and mingle with Joe, the JGPG dancers, and plenty of other Goode friends!
Seating is limited. Get tickets while they last!
