The Glass Menagerie
The Glass Menagerie is considered Tennessee William's masterpiece, a deeply personal piece about a family as it overcomes the tribulations of the heart and mind. Set in the 1930s, the play is an extension of Williams himself coming from an autobiographical perspective of him and his own family. Bringing this piece to life is a dynamic group who is dedicated to bringing unmatched passion and creativity to the performance. The group comes from a wide background of artistic expression, be it theater, dance, writing, music or film, the influence of which culminates in the portrayal of the characters and the situation itself. "The Glass Menagerie was Tennessee Williams's first great success and enjoyed a long Broadway run earning it The New York Drama Critics Circle Award. Since then it has become one of the most performed plays in American community theaters.
