Created in part through a community interview process, this one-woman play with video,
movement, and audio montage follows a modern-day cowgirl as she explores what it means to be a woman today. Join acclaimed performance artist Candy Simmons as she unpacks this complicated topic with honesty and humor, weaving autobiographical content alongside community voices.

Gender and power in our modern day society is still very much at the forefront. In what ways does or doesn't this awareness shape behaviors of our community? Do women play by a separate stringent set of rules or are we all bound by societal expectations packaged as cozy tradition?

A couple reminders to make your evening run as smoothly as possible.

* PARKING:  This is a busy time for the Loring Park neighborhood.  Please be sure to plan a little extra time to park.  Here is a link to the Red Eye's parking info page:

* LATE SEATING:  Due to the design of the theater and the staging its difficult to seat late comers without disrupting the performance.  Please plan to arrive prior to 8pm.

* RECEPTION:  We will be holding a reception following the performance.  We hope you can plan on staying afterwards and having a drink with us.

See you at the theater!
