The Jitterbug Vol IV
After arriving with a bang on the Nottingham party scene last year The Jitterbug is back for its first event of 2012. We take great pride in bringing you the very best national and international acts from the world of Electro Swing and the recent Electro Swing Peoples Favourite 2011 awards are testament to that with 4 out of 11 categories being won by acts hosted at The Jitterbug. This year is to be no exception and we kick off the year by bringing you Sound Assembly. Making waves in the Electro Swing pond, this 3-piece live act from Lancaster, fronted by Sally Bloomer, has played at countless events across the UK and recently at the Electro Swing Club in Paris. We also present to you Bass for the Baby, having performed at London Decompression among other festivals, he is sure to stir things up. The Jitterbug residents: Jamko, Maxophone and Das Motz have been busy over the festive period preparing an audio and visual show which they will be unveiling for the very first time. To meet your dancing needs we will be once again providing a FREE dance class at the beginning of the evening followed by classic Swing music for social dancing.

*Sound Assembly*
Sound Assembly from Lancaster, bring you a fresh live mix of sultry vintage sounds, a truck load of attitude and a good dose of downright dirty dance-floor beats. The trio, fronted by Sally Bloomer have played at many Electro Swing parties and festivals throughout 2011 such as ESC London, Alice in Newcastle, Cool Beans in Sheffield, Vegas! in Edinburgh, White Mink Speakeasy Thames Festival, Liverpool Speakeasy, Lancaster Speakeasy and of course the Electro Swing Club in Paris.

London-based urban troubadour known around the festival and party scene for spontaneous and reactive walkabout performances and live stage shows with DJs and musicians. He is the resident sax at Rumpus, The Jitterbug and All Soul'd Out; and has blown his horn at many other events throughout the UK, including Vaudeville Rave and Playgroup Festival. He tonks out an intoxicating cocktail of swing, blues and psychedelia, poured over some of the finest electro, minimal and d'n'b.

Nottingham based DJ, promoter and producer: Jamko, has been pushing the Electro Swing scene in Nottingham since September 2010. He has filled supports for electro swing pioneers such as Dutty Moonshine, DJ Switch, Kormac, Kiwistar, Charleston FS Stores, and Smokey Joe & The Kid. Jamko's sets contain a unique blend: 1 part Hip-Hop, 2 parts House, a squeeze of Electro and a dash of Dubstep served over hot Jazz and Swing beats. Warning! This music should be consumed responsibly.

*Das Motz*
Das Motz is a DJ and promoter from Frankfurt, Germany. Since moving to Nottingham he has played at countless venues across the city including residencies such as Rock City and Marketbar. Since the start of 2010 he has been heavily involved in the Electro Swing scene, playing alongside many well-known acts such as Dutty Moonshine, DJ Switch, Kiwistar, The Electric Swing Circus, Swingrowers, Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer, Kormac, Smokey Joe & the Kid amongst many others. Since hosting the Jitterbug with Jamko and Maxophone he has been invited to play at many events both nationally and internationally. His energetic sets are a unique mixture of nearly all electronic music genres ranging from Maximal Electro House to Electro Swing and Deep House.

*Bass for the Baby*
The DJ Bass for the Baby aka Gilad Rosner, originally from the States, now based in Nottingham, UK has played at too many events to be counted including Festivals such as London Decompression and Sounds on the Downs. His music leaves no wishes unanswered as he mixes old school tunes and House with Swing and more.
