F-Stops and Shutter Speeds
Shoot.  Learn.  Enjoy Portland.

Our general photo tour, the perfect place for beginners to get started and an excellent review for the more advanced hobbyist. Learn to shoot in aperture-priority, shutter-priority and manual, ultimately having more control over the final image. Finally understand your camera's settings. You will never want to shoot in "Auto" mode again!

F-stops, shutter speeds, exposure, depth of field, white balance, ISO, lenses, lighting, composition and perspective are all covered. Learn the artistic basics of photography, as well as the technical. Perfect for beginner to advanced hobbyist.

There will be a 30 min lesson under the canopy at Director's Park before heading out to practice what you've learned on the streets of Downtown Portland.

If you purchased your ticket via Brown Paper Tickets, our online ordering system, refunds are available for 12 hours
from the time of purchase or until the ticket sales end, whichever comes first. Please see the order confirmation
email sent to you by Brown Paper Tickets for details.

After 12 hours, there are no refunds, cancellations,
rescheduling or exchanging. Because spots are limited, canceling and/or rescheduling leaves open spots that

Photo Tours are rain or shine. You will be given tips for shooting in the rain should it occur. Photo Tours are only canceled under extreme weather conditions and according to the discretion of the instructor. Photo Tours are not canceled in advance, so please arrive as scheduled. On the rare occasion that a photo tour is canceled, you will receive a credit to participate in another photo tour of your choice of equal or lesser value.
