Scott Crawford welcomes Hugh Acheson to Standard Foods, Aug 30th
Chef Scott Crawford welcomes friend and James Beard Award winning chef and cookbook author Hugh Acheson on Sunday, August 30th to Standard Foods for a dinner celebrating Acheson's newest book, "THE BROAD FORK: Recipes for the Wide World of Fruits and Vegetables" (Clarkson Potter, May 2015).
"We can't imagine a better way to share our first meal at Standard Foods than with my friend Hugh and his exceptional and enlightened approach to seasonal cooking in the South," explained Crawford, who will also share dishes from Standard Foods, opening mid-September (209 East Franklin Street; www.standard-foods.com).
This family style dinner will introduce 6 recipes from Hugh Acheson's newest cookbook, "THE BROAD FORK," which brings fresh produce to the center of the plate.
Limited tickets are available for an intimate cooking demonstration in the Standard Foods' kitchen with Acheson prior to dinner, 5:30 to 6:30pm. Reception begins at 6:30; dinner will be served at 7:30. Master Sommelier Fred Dexheimer will serve wines to complement this late summer menu
