2012 E4FC Educator Conference

Do you work with undocumented high school or college students? Join teachers, counselors, school administrators and other educators and allies from across the Bay Area for a daylong conference about supporting and advocating for undocumented students.
You'll have the opportunity to participate in the following engaging and informative workshops:
- Working with Undocumented Students 101: An Overview - Paying for College - Easing College Enrollment - Legal Support - Political Landscape - How to be an Effective Ally - Best Practices at CCSF - Emotional/Mental Health - Post-College Opportunities - Supporting Non-College Bound Students - Storytelling for Healing & Advocacy
You'll also have the opportunity to network with other educators and hear powerful testimonies from undocumented students.
Keynote Speaker - Roberto G. Gonzalez
For the past decade, Roberto Gonzales has studied the everyday experiences of undocumented youth. He is the author of numerous publications, including Young Lives on Hold: The College Dreams of Undocumented Students (College Board) and Learning to Be Illegal: Undocumented Youth and Shifting Legal Contexts in the Transition to Adulthood (American Sociological Review). He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration.
*Ticket price includes lunch.
Conference registration will end January 14, 2012.
On campus there is parking. It is $6. There is also street parking all around SFSU.
