Family Peforming Arts Series: Mexican Dance Ensemble
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Wright is opening this incredible Series with the Mexican Dance Ensemble Chicago (MDE). They have traveled the world over, but have never been to Detroit. To express the connection between African and Mexican roots, MDE will perform traditional Mexican folkloric dances that have been influenced by African cultural roots.
The accompanying workshop, in recognition of El Dia de Los Muertos, will feature mini-sugar skull making in partnership with Matrix Theatre! Don't miss this fantastic one of a kind event!
Workshop begins at 11:00 A.M. Performance begins at 1:00 P.M.
