Trio MôD: Convergence
Trio MôD performs "Convergence" at the Guild Theater, 2828 35th St, Sacramento, on Saturday Oct. 3, 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 4 at 3:00 p.m. "Convergence" is the title of the featured piece which presents our look at Sacramento's famed Oak Park's past and present, through commissioned music, dance, projections and words. The event is sponsored by Richard Waters and River City Taps.
Trio MôD, (pronounced mode) one of Sacramento's innovative groups, integrate classical, jazz, gospel and Native American styles to create original arrangements and tonal colors. This new, eclectic ensemble of superb California musicians, featuring Maquette Kuper, flute; Deborah Pittman, clarinet, and vocalist Omari Tau, baritone made their Sacramento debut in February of 2014.
Through the employment of traditional and non-traditional techniques that include puppetry, spoken word and narration, MôD continues to delight its audiences.
