This year's edition XII features the usual 26.3k metric marathon distance, several orienteering stages and a trail run. It will also include fine technical sections plus the notorious King/Queen of the Mountain section.
Competitors will partake in the traditional Highlander hospitality. Staffed aid stations will dispense food and drink at transition points, and there will be plenty of food at the post-race buffet that is free to all competitors. And, as is tradition, a commemorative prize will be awarded to all official finishers completing the race within the 8-hour time limit.
Finishers in all previous Hudson Highlanders will be guaranteed starting slots in this year's race if their entry is made through this site by October 1, 2007.
Pay through this website, answer questions providing your name, address, phone number, date of birth, orienteering club, SI punch # (if available), e-mail and emergency contact.
Specific questions about your entry may be directed to Alan Young at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Highlander organizers graciously welcome any non-participating spouse, significant other or friend who is available to help us on the day of the event while a competitor is out on the course.
There will be a final e-mail message with all the necessary event details, including directions to the assembly area, sent to all entrants on or about October 4.
