OMNIUM GATHERUM by Theresa Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros

Windfall begins its 2011-2012 nineteenth season with the Milwaukee premiere of Theresa Rebeck and Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros' critically acclaimed Pulitzer prize nominated Omnium Gatherum; a witty satirical comedy and very serious and timely look at our lives in a post 9/11 world. A "peculiar group" an espionage novelist, a feminist vegan, an African American minister, a British pundit, a literary critic and an NYC fireman gather for a gourmet feast created by a hostess who believes that nothing enhances a meal better than lively debate. While waiting for the surprise guest of the evening to arrive they discuss food, wine, politics, religion and the massive hole in the New York skyline that has drawn them together. As we pause in remembrance a decade after 9/11 and as we continue to heal and move forward in a post-September 11 world Omnium Gatherum resonates and raises questions about who we are now.
