Avoiding the Kink Ghetto
Ever know someone whose whole life seems to revolve around the lifestyle. It's all they talk about, all they do, their only source of socialization and you begin to wonder if that's all they are. "Is there no there there?" Maybe you are that person yourself? Meet the denizens of the kink ghetto. In our "Surviving Real Life" class we talk about the ways in which real life gets in the way of kink in this complementary workshop we look at ways in which kink can interfere w/ real life. In a roundtable discussion, we'll explore two classic pitfalls: those who burn themselves out on kink and become "buzz-kills," and those "great pretenders" who use the lifestyle as a crutch to escape from having to deal w/ real life.
Primal Play (or "I Want to Fuck you like an Animal")
(Note: This is not a Bestiality demo.) From puppy play to werewolves to furries there is definitely something erotic about letting out your inner-animal. Tens of thousands of years ago Paleolithic hunters sought to assume the qualities of animals whose prowess they admired (their totem animals), and shamans put on animal costume to psychically transform into an animal spirit. Later myths about werewolves and berserkers are the relics of such shamanic practices. What about taking this "psychological shpeshifting" and eroticize it as a form of BDSM play? Bighting? Growling? Scratching? Feral sex? Oh, hell, yeah! We're going to talk about unleashing the beast within -- the werewolf archetype and why it's so sexy.
