AARBF MISSION STATEMENT
AARBF is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for burn survivors and promoting burn prevention education in the community.
After the devastation of a burn injury, AARBF is there. Our vision is to make burn injuries a thing of the past and until that mission is achieved, we strive to provide free, quality-of-life support to burn survivors and their families. AARBF partners with area hospitals to provide basic human needs (groceries, transportation to medical appointments), group support opportunities, and after-burn recreational activities.
The Hook & Ladder Ball also raises substantial funds for our flagship recreational program, Champ Camp. The largest residential summer camp for burn-injured kids in the US, Champ Camp allows children to interact with their peers while engaging in self-esteem building activities in a safe environment. It's a place where kids can just be kids. When you attend the 2011 Hook & Ladder Ball, you'll be helping to send one of hundreds of our kids to Champ Camp 2012.
