Chinatown Food Walk
We start the tour at a classic Chinese bakery famous for their char shao bao buns while discussing the rich history of the area.
Other stops include a teashop as pretty as a jewelry store, where we discuss varieties of Chinese tea and how to best appreciate them. On our stop at a wok shop we learn all about woks and other necessary equipment for Chinese cooking techniques.
We'll savor fruit smoothies while learning about the unique culture of eating and appreciating food in China. This discussion helps put our visit to a Cantonese dry goods store, brimming with exotic delicacies, into perspective.
We finish the tour in the world of sweets with silky, flaky egg custard tarts at a favorite bakery as well as a stop at a tempting candy shop. Bring your appetite for learning and a palate for flavor-packed Chinese cuisine to this exciting tour!
