A film to honor the sacrifice of veterans and their families, Journey Home is written, directed, and acted by an Iraq war veteran. The main character is serving in Iraq with his best friend who is killed in an ambush. The film explores the trials of the soldier after he volunteers to return home from the battlefield to notify his friend's wife of the death of her husband. It explores the themes of sacrifice, selfless duty, the loss of a comrade, and the effects on the families of those left behind.
