DocFarm 2007
Join the NDA (Northwest Documentary Association) for our second annual one-of-a-kind rustic summer retreat, DocFarm 2007! Once again, Docfarm will take place in the pastoral setting of Smoke Farm in scenic Arlington, Washington, just one hour north of Seattle. DocFarm 2007 will feature informal workshops focusing on the latest technical and artistic trends in documentary filmmaking. Screenings of Works in Progress will also be featured (bring your ten minute clip), along with delicious meals, swimming, hiking and an unforgettable Saturday evening bonfire. Our featured film this year is "Libby, Montana," a journey into the world of a hard-working, blue-collar community that exemplifies the American Dream gone horribly wrong. Directors Doug Hawes-Davis and Drury Gunn Carr will both be in attendance at the screening, which will be making its national premiere on PBS's POV on August 28th at 10pm. We are also honored to have Damon Rustau, director of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, as a special guest this year.
Cost for the two-day retreat is $135 for dorm accommodations, or $110 if camping (remember to bring your tent and sleeping bags). Your payment includes two lunches, Sunday breakfast and a spectacular feast on Saturday night. Space is limited, so tell your friends and sign up now at Brown Paper Tickets!
