12th Anniversary Fiesta
The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association presents its annual dinner, dance, and concert fundraiser Fiesta, on Saturday, April 30, 2011. The evening, celebrating the 12th anniversary of the Association, will be held at Le Chateau 15 N Naches Ave.
The social begins at 5 pm with music provided by the Sunnyside High School Mariachi band, followed by a traditional Mexican dinner provided by Fiesta Foods.Margaritas, wine, and beer will be available for purchase.
The entertainment will be provided by the YVCC Salsa Band accompanied by special guest Salsa vocalist Carlos Cascante originally from Costa Rica, he has performed with several Latin folkloric, and Salsa groups. He combines Salsa and Latin sounds, and plays several musical instruments. Carlos Cascante is a well versed Latin vocalist whose forte is improvising soneos. Joining Carlos will be two musicians from New York; Memo Acevedo percussionist and Alan Molinar on vibes.

The Yakima-Morelia Sister City Association is a non-profit, people to people association, goodwill and exchanges in trade, education, tourism, and culture between Yakima, Washington and Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. The Association aims to provide an opportunity for people from the two cities to share their culture and ideas.
