Metro Comedy is proud to kick off its newest Washington, DC stand-up comedy show at Bar 7.<BR><BR>Comic Ed Blaze, the founder of Metro Comedy and a comic in his own right, will be hosting the regular, bi-weekly shows at Bar 7. &nbsp;Blaze, who hosts the popular Pure Friday's at DC's Pure Lounge, draws audiences in with his personal experiences of growing up in Africa, his coming-to- America stories and his hilarious views on current political events.<BR><BR>"We think this is an excellent and important way to introduce established and up-and-coming area comics to new audiences in DC," says Metro Comedy Spokesperson Jennifer Ortiz.<BR><BR>Feb. 9, 2010 @ 8:30pm: Sean Savoy, Mekka and Kyle Martin<BR><BR>Metro Comedy is proud to kick off its newest Washington, DC stand-up comedy show with headliner Sean Savoy, who has been touring both America and Europe with HBO funnyman Pablo Francisco. Joining Savoy, who has a Comedy Central special scheduled for 2011, will be up-and-coming DC comics Mekka and Kyle Martin.<BR><BR>"We are really looking forward to launching our new standup shows with Sean Savoy, one of the greatest young comedic talents out of DC," said &nbsp;Ortiz. "We're lucky to get him while he is on tour with Pablo Francisco."<BR><BR>Mekka is a bright new DC comic who will hit the road with Riddick Bowe as part of his 2011 Comedy Tour starting in January. She is also starring on Real Critics TV beginning in 2011 and will kick off her own radio show in February.<BR><BR>DC funnyman Kyle Martin has opened for the likes of Donnell Rawlings and has appeared at the DC Improv and clubs throughout the Mid-Atlantic.<BR><BR>Metro Comedy<BR><BR>Produced by Ed Blaze, Metro Comedy features up-and-coming and professional headliner performers in an open mic & showcase format.
