"50's rock 'n' roll bastard child'' - that just about sums up The Memphis Murder Men. Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, the band evolved from the Steel City's first horror-punk outfit - The Brain Invaders - and now call Oakland their home. These guys have fired up the stage with The Misfits, Tiger Army, The Murder Junkies, The Quakes, The Guana Batz and just about every legendary psychobilly band there is.
The group completely embodies the rock 'n' roll that gave birth to every punk, rockabilly, and psycho band out there and do it without regrets or fear of what "the scene" might think. Love 'em or hate 'em, The Memphis Murder Men are putting the last nail in the coffin of bad rock 'n' roll and cranking out loud and proud rhythm and blues the way the greats did.
The Harrington Saints
The SAINTS brand of nut-and-bolts rock is gripping, intense and full of the realities of working-class life. Subject matter ranging from politics to pints at the pub with the boys, The Saints grind out three minute gems that get the point across like a boot to the ribs, without ever forgetting to have fun along the way
Soul band from San Francisco. The line-up features vocals that embody the classic sound of all the great female fronted soul acts through out time. The band is made up of players with roots in soul, R&B, funk and punk. They takes a stripped down, un-pretentious approach to the music, grabbing a hold of the grooves and driving them into the sound.
The Pendletons have developed a stand-alone sound that is heavily influenced by early, traditional rock 'n roll - and incorporated with rockabilly, 80's harcore and jumpin' blues.
