Help Kim Baker Benefit the St. Francis Center at Club Fox (January 28th @ 7pm)
Hello friends and family!
As you may already know, my band and I are returning to the Fox Theater next Friday night, January 28th. The Fox just reopened under new ownership after a year long hiatus, and we are very much looking forward to playing there again. :) It is a wonderful theater.
This particular concert is very special to me because it will be benefiting a very important cause, the St. Francis Center. The St. Francis Center is located just down the street from the Fox Theater. I went to visit there recently and met the nun who runs the facility, Sister Christina. She is simply amazing! I've been wanting to do a benefit for their wonderful program for a long time.
I would so appreciate your support of my event. In addition to general admission, there are four different levels of sponsorship support: silver ($25), gold ($50), platinum ($75) and diamond ($99). Each ticket you purchase will go directly to the support of the St. Francis Center. I will be donating my entire financial portion of each ticket directly to the Center. I will also be donating some free tickets for their volunteers, who work so hard, so that they can attend the event as well.
I would love it if you could make the event personally, :) but I certainly understand how busy everyone is, and how hard it is sometimes to travel places, which is why I created this way for people to support me/the benefit without actually having to attend the event. If you aren't able to make the event, please just let me know and I will see that your ticket is donated to one of the wonderful people at the St. Francis Center.
Here is some more detailed information about St. Francis Center:

Founded in 1986, the St. Francis Center provides the local community with essential services such as housing, food, clothing and education. We strive to provide these services keeping forefront in our minds and actions our motto: "Compassion Not Judgment." We currently provide our services to over 3,000 individuals, each month, in the Redwood City Area.
You can visit their website for more details at: http://www.stfrancisrwc.org
Thank you very much for your support!
Love, Kim
PS. On an exciting related note, I will also be donating my merchandise sales that night to the Joy Nordenstrom Medical Fund. My dear friend Joy (who I met during my days at Mills College) is recuperating from brain surgery and trying to raise some additional funds to help cover her medical expenses. So, if you need an extra CD or two, please come see me after the show on Friday night!
