Clandess Diner's Offaly Delicious Feast
Dear diner,
We have reached that liminal moment between seasons where the potential energy of life, growth and fertility starts to hum and vibrate at a higher frequency, pushing against the curmudgeonly barrier of snow and slop that will keep it at bay for what always seems like an unfair amount of time. And we know that spring will come: a time when we can inject our slumpy strides with a little bounce- when baby rabbits literally appear in droves on suburban lawns with cute pieces of fresh grass in their chompers- when the dudes who wear shorts in -5 have graduated to shirtlessness. Ahhh, spring.
But until then, it is still grey and crappy out there. And, being intrepid and resourceful chefs, we are always looking for inspiration within desperation- creative ways to embrace the things that may seem like barriers, and finding abundance where wasn't any. Just as what looks on the outside like a mucky dead landscape is teeming with potential spring life, so will this month's menu be replete with the oft-forgotten or not seen abundances of edibility- things such as organ meats (known as offal to some) and edible insects, which are consumed as dietary staples in many different food-scarce places in the globe.
Don't worry- we will make sure they aren't squirming by the time they reach your plate. And if you needed any more encouragement to make it out to this one, please note that this may be our last diner for a while!!! Anna will be journeying to Scandinavia for the summer and fall to learn new food skills to bring back to wow you in the winter! (Nathan will keep you updated with Clandess Dining opportunities over those months though of course)...

This month's Moveable Feast- Offaly Delicious: Shock and Ew! - will be held Saturday April 18th AS WELL AS Sunday April 19th, from 7pm till around 10pm.
For this dinner, no vegetarian option will be available due to the focus on ingredients. Gluten free available upon request. Gluten free meals will be subject to a $10 surcharge per person.
We are still offering EATERSHIP TICKETS-- tickets offered at a reduced price for those who can not afford the full price but are passionate and curious about food. Like a scholarship, but for eating!
If you would like to DONATE to the Eatership Fund, so that those who can not afford to pay full can still attend, simply send us an email letting us know how much you'd like to donate. Thanks in advance!

New to Clandess Diner? Here's the scoop!
Tickets are $60, and are non-refundable. Ticket price includes our beautiful multi-course dinner made of entirely local, seasonal, and magical ingredients, prepared with care and creativity. It also includes alcoholic beverages, as many as you like while supplies last. You are also welcome to BYOB within a reasonable limit, enough to enjoy along with your dinner.
Please prepare a safe way home if you plan to drink.
Tickets can be purchased safely online through brownpapertickets.com with your credit card. Otherwise, please email us to make arrangements.
Tickets are FIRST COME FIRST SERVED every month- we do not do waiting lists.
To keep our Diner Clandestine, we release the location via email only to those who have purchased tickets the night before the event. We are dedicated to making sure the location is friendly to those who rely on public transit, bicycles, and other non-personal-vehicle forms of transport, so the location will always be within a reasonable bus or bike ride from downtown, unless otherwise noted.
If you have a physical disability, or have mobility restrictions that would impede your ability to climb stairs, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Most importantly, Clandess Diner is a wonderful place to come, meet new wonderful and interesting members of your community, and share ideas, flavours, and laughter.
