ARCHITECTURE MATTERS / Function; Form
Parametric Design + Architecture

On Tuesday, December 7th, join hosts Arturo Levenfeld, AIA, Kris Barkley, AIA and Saxon Sigerson, AIA, for the last Architecture Matters Design Forum of 2010.  This casual evening of discussion will be centered around the topic of Parametric Design as it relates to Architecture.

We begin with a brief introduction to the process of designing parametric architecture and then explore six projects - three older structures designed before the term became popular and three current projects - that fully utilize a parametric model.

Is parametricism a style? Does it represent a new modernism, the ultimate example of Form Follows Function? Is it a necessity in order to truly achieve a sustainable future? Does it speak to the human condition at all? Our open forum discussion is intended to explore these questions and others in this continuing series.
