A Reading of "Rosabelle, Believe" by Joseph Lauinger
Please join us on FRIDAY evening, May 22nd at 8pm at the Budarz Theater in the Ossining Public Library for our first Play Reading of 2015 - "Rosabelle, Believe" by Joseph Lauinger.
There will also be a performance on SATURDAY afternoon, May 23rd at 2pm followed by a talkback session with the playwright, director and cast.
Brief summary of the play:
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini forge a decades long relationship based on mutual needs in this delightful meditation on cross cultures, sexual gamemanship and the afterlife.
TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE.
All General Admission ticket holders are guaranteed a seat in the 200 seat theater and are invited to attend a meet & greet with the artists in the art gallery immediately following the performance. The net proceeds from this production will be used to produce more new plays through our unique development workshop for local theater artists.
The Westchester Collaborative Theater is a multicultural, cooperative theater company located in Ossining, NY, dedicated to developing new work for the stage and bringing live theater to our community. We are local playwrights, actors, and directors who employ a Lab approach in which new stage works are nurtured through an iterative process of readings, critiques, and rewrites. When work is ready for production, it is produced for the public at various local venues.
WCT is committed to furthering theater arts in our community. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and a recipient of production grants from ArtsWestchester and New York State Council on the Arts.
