Event
Fundraiser and Sound Temple with Christine Tulis and Kem Stralka
Join us to experience a Sound Temple and raise funds for the Ministry of the Arts at First Congregational Church. During a Sound Temple the listener is immersed in a devotional, meditative, musical space created with Celtic harp, voice, keyboard and percussion blended with the exquisite spiritual imagery of Rumi's verse and Christine's original songs celebrating the Divine Spirit in all.
A unique blend of improvised and composed music, Sound Temples are a haven for the spirit. Your imagination will be carried aloft by the exquisite spiritual imagery of the lyrics and travel through a musical doorway to inner worlds where the soul can remember its luminous origins and be nourished at a level beyond words - the level of being.
Sound Temples are intended to bring forth a deepened awareness of our universal, Divine nature, and to strengthen that awareness, so that it may positively impact our daily lives.
Christine will be joined by Kem Stralka to create this soulful and healing event. Christine Tulis has shared her heart-centered music internationally including at Chartres Cathedral, France, and the United Nations, NY. Christine and Kem's CD, Portal is the 2008 winner of the Gaia Award for Spiritual Music from the Moondance International Film Festival. Their new release, Sea of Dreams will also be available. Reservations recommended.
