AIACV: Firm Roundtable
It is been said that you often learn more from failure than success. Never has this been truer as the architectural profession rebounds from the recession. Many firm leaders have used this tumultuous time as an opportunity to rethink their overall business model. Shrinking may have been involuntary, but growth is going to be careful and deliberate, with emphasis on projects and markets that can contribute relatively quickly to sustained long-term profitability.
As part of the AIACC's Strategic Initiative to promote the practice and prosperity of architectural firms in California, we believe in this basic tenant: firms are the delivery vehicle for architecture in our country and should be resourced accordingly. Working in conjunction with AIA Central Valley, we want to bring together leaders to gain a better understanding of the priorities and concerns of the architectural profession in California. We want to discuss challenging practice issues such as project delivery, public contracts, changing technologies, and managing client expectations. And, we also need your insights into how the AIA (at all levels) can provide valuable, relevant, and timely firm-specific benefits.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 8th from 2-4 pm. at the AIA Central Valley chapter office. Please join us and if there's someone else in your firm on the leadership track that you would like to include, please feel free to invite them as well.
