Brewery Safety Seminar "Hot Topics"

The Brewery Insurance Program is hosting a Brewery Safety Seminar at Barley Forge Brewing Company in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, February 24th from 2pm to 4pm.

Learn more about managing brewery safety in a two-hour seminar featuring presentation and Q&A on critical safety topics that must be addressed in your brewery.

Topics Include:
- Common mistakes leading to serious injury in breweries
- Discussion of chemical and thermal hazard management
- Determining what safety training is required in your operation and how to comply
- Record keeping requirements and easy ways to cope with documentation

Dan Drown, CIH, CSP of Drown Consulting, LLC will be on hand to provide you with a review and discussion of some of the most critical safety topics in brewery operations. His experience in craft brewery safety in Southern California is unique and unmatched. Dan's presentation style and information will energize you to make key improvements in your brewery safety program Improvements that will not only protect you and your employees, but garner appreciation by your insurers and satisfy key Cal/OSHA regulatory requirements.

Two complementary Barley Forge beers will be provided after the seminar along with an hour to network with fellow brewery owners and employees.

About Dan Drown

Dan has 30 years of broad-based U.S. and international experience in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, auditing, safety and environmental management systems. He provides environmental safety and health consulting services to a diverse global client group including Fortune 100 clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, biotech, power generation, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors. He is certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

"Safety" Dan works with dozens of Southern California craft breweries to develop, implement, and maintain their safety and health programs. He is a 20+ year home brewer and particularly enjoys his client work in craft brewing. Dan is also one of the founders and partners in SoCal BOB, a business dedicated to providing continuing education to the craft brewing industry. He is also the VP of Brewery Expansion at Lightning Brewery in Poway, CA.
