NORTHWEST ASIAN AMERICAN THEATRE PRESENTS
NORTHWEST ASIAN AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL 2003
OPENING NIGHT PROGRAM: SEARCHING FOR ASIAN AMERICA
NAATA's SEARCHING FOR ASIAN AMERICA is a new and pioneering PBS series that explores the lives of four Asian Americans: Governor Gary Locke of Washington; Jeffrey Lim and Martin Bautista, two Filipino physicians living in rural Oklahoma; and Lela Lee, actor and creator of "Angry Little Asian Girl."
But first, our festival begins with former Seattleite Alice Wu's TRICK OR TREAT, a deft cross-cultural comedy that gently reminds us of how perplexing our country can be to its newer arrivals (and vice versa).
