Tiny Hempcrete House Workshop!
Learn to build your own Tiny Hemp House with John Patterson

Have you ever dreamed of having a home that was more healthy, made out of
natural materials, built with longevity and simplicity, more efficient, more comfortable and fire resistant.
In this experiential workshop John takes participants on a journey to begin to build their own home. Starting with basic skills learned in these two days you will be on your way to creating your own hempcrete living vessel. You will learn a simple way to construct a post and beam frame, how to mix hempcrete using locally sourced binder materials, how to use slip-forms (shuttering) mixing and tamping. One of the most important aspects of a hempcrete building is the exterior lime plaster. Frank Wetenkamp of commonearth.builders will conduct a lime plastering section to show us how.

John then shares with participants the momentum of the Hemp building industry and why the time really is now for more natural materials in our buildings and how industrial hemp is the perfect solution in many different emerging applications. Continuing his Hemp Career theme from his keynote John coaches participants in an interactive mastermind on how to transform your own life to become a leader in the Hemp industry. At the end of the workshop new hemp leaders are prepared to go out and spread the word about hemp in an informed way with their own hemp balls as an example of the possibilities of industrial hemp. They will enjoy a clear path to the future of the plant.

Become part of the Industrial Hemp Revolution.

Lunch provided by Hemp Way Foods! Hemp Sliders, Tacos, dips etc.

Special exterior lime plaster section by Frank Wetenkamp of Commonearth.builders.

About the Instructor- John Patterson- Public Speaker, Hemp advocate and Trainer, earth keeper- John Patterson has been  a teacher of the martial arts for over thirty years. He has taught self-defense, personal safety and Karate to hundreds of students in a variety of professional settings. He has designed and delivered a variety of curriculum. His first carpentry job was with his mentor and sensei Master Doug Dennis. In 1998 he founded JP's workshop and Artistic Log Furniture at his home West of Fort Collins. After building furniture for several years John and his wife Nicole started the Circle Moon Coffee House in Loveland Colorado. He purchased a residential home that was built in 1898 and renovated it into a commercial building while maintaining its historic nature. John served as the project manager and worked with the health department and the City of Loveland's building department to turn this charming Victorian manor into the perfect third place. After serving as owner/manager for five years John has returned to his roots. In 2010 John re-discovered the industrial hemp plant by attending Steve Allin's course "Building with Hemp" in Prescott Wisconsin.
