Calling all vegans and lovers of food-- come join us for a celebration! We're launching The Lusty Vegan cookbook in Seattle in style.

Thursday, April 14th, 2015

The event will begin with an open bar reception at 6:30pm. Dinner will be served promptly at 7pm with brief talks from the Chef in between courses. An open bar reception will follow dessert with Chef Q&A and book signing.

Chef's Amuse Bouche
Market fresh ingredients combining for one tantalizing bite that will set callbrate your tastebuds to The Lusty Vegan experience.

1st course
Hearts of Baltimore Crabcakes
A savory crispy blend of hearts of palm, caramelized onions, fresh celery, and garlic,  coated in gluten free breadcrumbs. Served with a lemon-garlicy aioli.

2nd course
Citrus and Salt Pickled Fennel Salad
This pallet cleansing course is composed of fresh fennel, soaked in lemon and orange juice, and pinch of sea salt.

3rd course
Fillet De Soy with Blood Orange Butter Sauce.
Hand carved soy fillet, paired with a nappa cabbage cole slaw and accented with a rich blood orange butter wine sauce and frizzled leeks.

4th course
Biscuit Strawberry Shortcake
Fresh fluffy biscuit, topped with fresh strawberries bathed in raw agave lemon and a hint of maple syrup. Fresh Whip cream and home-made ice cream.


Drink: Wine pairing
Specialty cocktail:  Pomelo Spritzer cocktail

About cookbook Author & Chef, Ayinde Howell:

The Lusty Vegan, a new vegan cookbook authored by celebrity chef and Seattle native, Ayinde Howell.

Ayinde Howell was the owner of one of Seattle's first vegan restaurants, Hillside Quickies. His food legacy has continued on to other exciting ventures, and he has appeared on television cooking shows such as Access Hollywood , The Hallmark Channel, and his Like A Vegan cooking show.
