BUTCHER HOLLER HERE WE COME, a dark historical comedy, tells the story of 5 coal miners in 1973, West Virginia who have been trapped inside a cave collapse. Following the collapse, the miners struggle to survive the dwindling supply of oxygen, the lack of food and water, the unraveling sense of passing time, and, even more threatening, their own competing natures. BUTCHER HOLLER brutally weaves through family histories, complicated friendships, crooked politics, childhood visions, audacious hopes, eerie dreams, criminal addictions, and the fervent spirituality of a not-so-run-of-the-mill Appalachian community. It is a claustrophobic descent into the male psyche-in-crisis where secret desires, carnal urges, and hidden memories come boiling to the surface in a primitive territory of Earth that mirrors the subliminal mind.

BUTCHER HOLLER, HERE WE COME has received outstanding critical attention in 5 cities around the country. The show premiered in the 2013 Cincinatti Fringe Festival with the Know Theatre. Since then, it has been produced with the New Orleans Fringe Festival, EMP Collective in Baltimore, The Water Tower Theatre in Dallas, and the Beaumont Community Players in Beaumont, TX. Our West Palm Beach engagement directly follows a 3-night run at the Silver Meteor in Ybor City, Tampa.
