Mulatto Saga
"An inside look into an interracial family" – Broadway World
"Juliette Fairley is a born actress…" --Tolucan Times
Directed by award-winning Hollywood filmmaker Charles Burnett, all characters in the Mulatto Saga are performed by Juliette Fairley. This 70 minute gem of a one-woman theatrical production provides an inside look into an interracial marriage established in the 1970s. Given Obama's presidency, Tiger Wood's divorce and the increase in interracial marriages since the 1980s, Mulatto Saga is sure to interest and entertain people inside and outside of an interracial relationship.
Miss Fairley shares her trials and triumphs as the daughter of interracial parents. Juliette portrays her French mother's reaction to African American culture and to her myriad of boyfriends who include a C-list hip hop star with kinky hair, a Jamaican with a marijuana habit, a Frenchman with a penchant for threesomes, a Brad Pitt look-a-like who requires blond hair in his black girlfriends and a bi-racial metrosexual who prefers men.
