Alabama Supper

A six course Alabama Supper featuring all locally sourced ingredients and a silent auction will be held at the Rural Heritage Center (www.ruralheritagecenter.com) in Thomaston, AL, on June 26th. All proceeds will go directly to the Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network. The planned menu is below (vegetarian options available by prior arrangement).

Appetizers:
grilled shrimp with cherry tomato confit
polenta cakes with roasted pepper aioli and lardons

MAIN COURSES:
1. watermelon salad with muscadine wine reduction, black salt and basil

2. lamb burger with roasted eggplant, charred onion, lemon and mint, served with a side of herbed yogurt

3. tomato salad with fried leeks and bacon vinaigrette

4. beef burger with tomato relish, pickles, cheddar, and kettle cooked chips on the side

5. lemon basil ice

6. pork shoulder burger with bourbon glazed peaches and roasted fennel, with spicy slaw on the side

A NOTE ON TICKET PRICES:
You'll notice that the ticket prices are odd numbers. We've done this so that you pay a flat fee with the modest service charge. Each individual ticket is $100 while a pair of tickets (called "Couples" on the following page) is $175. The couples tickets are only sold in intervals of 2, so you'll get a significant discount by bringing your sweetie!
