Papa has passed away and now the Schwartz siblings gather in his home to mourn. Norma is religious and self-righteous, Herb is a financial wizard with an infertile wife, astronomer Simon is going blind, and TV commercial director Gene shows up with a stunning starlet in tow. Can this group salvage the family legacy?
A discussion and light refreshments follow the play reading. Recommended for ages 18 and up

8 Days, 8 Locations--Continuum Theater, a new Chicago Jewish performing Arts Organization, produces The Chicago Jewish Play Reading Festival. The festival features 8 contemporary Jewish plays, read by professional actors in 8 locations around the Metropolitan Chicago area. Various synagogues and community organizations partner with us by hosting the readings in their buildings and promoting the festival to their community.
The Chicago Jewish Play Reading Festival 2015 is supported by the Breakthrough Fund: An Innovation of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, and a grant by JCC PresenTense Chicago.
