CUE's Black Tie, Tights and Tutus ala Duchamp
Gregangelo of Velocity Circus, the premiere Arts and Entertainment Company of San Francisco and the Bay Area, presents its first annual extravaganza gala fundraising event for CUE: Children United by Experience International on Saturday June 5th from 7-11pm at the Oakland CUE Space and Trapeze Arts. The evening will preview CUE's newest initiative: Wackadoodles in Wonderland a half hour television program that presents the world from a gravity-free perspective of curiosity and wonder.
CUE is an outgrowth of the insightful vision of Gregangelo and partner Jeffrey Ferns and their commitment to community based artistic and educational programs. Their workshops instill confidence in youth through experiences in the performing arts and empower them with marketable comedic and circus arts skills.
The honorary event chairs Libby and Craig Heimark have a long history of philanthropic endeavors that empower and celebrate the voices of youth. The Heimarks believe that CUE provides lifelong career opportunities to hundreds of youth who discover the magic inside themselves that they in turn can create and share in the world. Over the past six years, we have witnessed the evolution and impact CUE has had on youth. And we want to help Jeffrey and Gregangelo catalyze this into a national endeavor. The CUE methodology encourages and supports the life lessons of individual and team success learned through participation in circus arts. CUE provides a route for kids to find purpose in a world that they once viewed as purposeless. The CUE family creates a environment, which supports their youths journey toward personal and financial security. All children and adults should have the opportunity to see the world through CUE. Participants and observers alike see the pleasure derived by all who are united by the CUE experiences."
We encourage adults and children of all ages to join us June 5th to support Gregangelo and Jeffrey's vision.
