Homeschooler Days: May Afternoon Program
This month's topic: Unnatural Histories
How did paleontologists invent a fake dinosaur called the brontosaurus? Why did William Bartram see smoke-breathing alligators in Florida? We'll see how sometimes myth-making, ego, greed, and overenthusiasm take a front seat to science and create our own "unnatural history" exhibits.
Homeschooler Days serve homeschooled students, ages 5 to 13, and meets monthly with morning and afternoon sessions to choose from. This year's topics range from geology to color theory, from designing our own cities to creating moss-filled terrariums!
Schedule: 2nd Wednesday of every month. Morning session takes place from 10 am to noon. Afternoon session takes place from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Pre-registration is required. Admission is $10 per child or free for Bartram Members. Non-members may pre-pay via Brown Paper Tickets, or pay at the door. For more information about becoming a Bartram's Garden Member, visit: www.bartramsgarden.org/join.
Please note: Program is cancelled if Philadelphia School District is closed for weather emergencies.
