Gilded Concert Series- Concert 1 Providence Mandolin Orchestra Concert 3pm-5pm
Historic Aldrich Mansion & Estate is hosting a premiere concert on November 9, 2014 to kick off a series of cultural events open to the public. Free parking.
The 20 piece Providence Mandolin Orchestra has become one of the leading American mandolin ensembles, with appearances throughout the Eastern United States and Canada. The Orchestra features a wide range of musical styles such as Renaissance dances, Baroque concertos, turn-of-the century nostalgia and avant-garde expressions.
Ticket price (plus fee, includes tax and gratuity) and appetizers and pastry served with tea and coffee during intermission.
Aldrich Mansion has an impressive pedigree of history, power and glamor as the former home of Rhode Island Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, and it is considered a masterpiece of Gilded Age architecture and craftsmanship.
In July the private estate hosted two sold out Newport Music Festival concerts.
