SkillSwap: Invested in Your Future: Financial Well-Being for Small Business Owners, Artists, and Entrepreneurs
SkillSwap is a barter-based education series featuring workshops on a variety of topics. There is no monetary registration fee; instead, each instructor suggests items or services they will accept in exchange for class participation.
Our volunteer instructors prepare based on how many people sign up, so PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU WILL ACTUALLY ATTEND.
Class Description
Attendees will learn about:
types of retirement plans and tax benefits
the importance of wills and estate planning documents such as durable powers of attorney
social security basics

About the Instructor
Holly Mayer, CFP, is First Vice President - Wealth Management for Mayer Wealth Advisory of Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. She thoroughly enjoys partnering with and guiding clients through what may seem like a maze of financial information and options. It is often said that when it comes to a work of art, the interpretation and appreciation of it is highly personal. Likewise, for each individual, life choices and circumstances are also unique and personal especially for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
Holly, a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Certified Financial Advisor, has been successfully practicing financial and investment planning services since 1998. Helping clients increase their financial savvy, set goals that really matter to them, and feel the satisfaction of implementing a financial plan. She equally serves the community through her work as Investment Chair of York County Community Foundation, York Symphony Orchestra, and Pappus House.
