The year 2013 marks the centennial year of the great English composer Benjamin Britten. We will commemorate the occasion with a selection of Britten's music appropriate to the Christmas season, including his masterworks Rejoice in the Lamb and Festival Te Deum. We will also present music by several recent British composers whose style was directly influenced by Britten. This is a concert of joyful celebration both of Christmas and of the preeminent choral composer of the last century.
