Film 1: "(Re)Composed by Illuminair
"(Re)Composed" is the first feature-length creation from Toronto-based contemporary circus troupe, Illuminair. Featuring a cast of 12 artists, the show is set to the contentious 'reimagining' of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" by modern-day composer, Max Richter. The show combines classic circus disciplines like object manipulation and contortion with more recent ones, such as triple trapeze and Cyr wheel and is a non-narrative exploration of time and human relationships. "(Re)Composed" and its original digital presentation was made possible due to generous funding from the Canada Council for the Arts via the Digital Now initiative."
